With most of the celebrities promoting their own fragrances or clothing line, it’s perfectly natural for another self-promoter, Tila Tequila to venture into her very own clothing brand. Success of any celebrity helmed lines greatly depends on the public’s perception of the star’s style. Tila Tequila might have more haters than people praising her so going with her online venture might be risky right? Why would this faze Tila? This pint sized package of pure shameless just went ahead with her own clothing brand anyway.

Dubbed as Tilafashion, the brand is a custom line for men and women. Now get this people, Tila Tequila is a self-confessed trash showing as much skin as clothes. Mostly clad in lingerie, 4-inch heels and really short skirts and yes, its way up there too. It leaves to be desired that unless you have a rocking body just like hers, would you really dress in full frontal all the time? Your boyfriend might beg you to. While I admire straightforward sense in clothes or the complete lack of it, it’s hard to imagine her with her own line.

Tilafashion carries the slogan: “So hot you want to take it all off” You might be expecting a collection to carry a blinding amount of lace or just a little scrap of fabric here and there. Surprisingly, it’s not THAT trashy as you would think. My sister glanced over my shoulder and deduced that the black top with the word SEX emblazoned all over the front looked cute in a mere 10 seconds. As I looked through the posted pics, it made me realize that I like the hot pink leg warmers too. Tila Tequila also modeled some pieces (surprise surprise) the panties mostly, still banking on the trashy nasty theme that makes her…well…Tila. Though I have to admit the red hot undies looked fun to wear. Her ad features hard, edgy, sexy take on some basics: heels with leg warmers, bringing back the 80’s vibe, casual tees, and really short shorts. The men’s line isn’t so bad too. The black hoodie piece looked like a great gift idea and its something that the men in my life would wear.

Tilafashion made me realize that Tila Tequila is merely banking in her cyber status to venture to fashion design too. This is only one of her avenues as she also has music and TV. She is only doing the proverbial “Strike while the iron is hot” Makes one think there is one shrewd little entrepreneur underneath all that skin. And we all thought all she does is flash her underwear.

My purchasing power doesn’t depend if somebody famous designed it. I still buy what is comfortable (and what I can afford to charge with my plastic). But there is an adventurous streak in all of us that pushes us out of our comfort zone and into the wild. Maybe I will get those red hot panties when I want to be naughty on a weekend.
